PUT ME °N IT was born as a blog in 2008 after founder Amelia Ideh, whilst working full time as a creative producer and running two live music nights a month, found herself spending the rest of her time emailing friends about gigs or new music they should be checking out. The blog hasn’t saved much time but it has built around it a much wider community of music lovers and friends.
Fast forward to 2012, and the blogspot has grown in to a larger website, proud to have championed the likes of Aaron Jerome (who went on to become known as SBTRKT), Andreya Triana, Floating Points, Dam Funk, Tanya Auclair, Ghostpoet, Brittany Bosco, Eric Lau, Homeboy Sandman, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Oddisee, Azealia Banks, Tinashe, Jose James, Micachu, Sonnymoon, Lianne La Havas, and many many others long before their names became regular features in blogland. We’re just as excited about supporting the future stars as tomorrow.
As a company PUT ME °N IT now provides tastemaker marketing and PR consultancy, and produces live events and club nights including showcases at Soundwave Festival Croatia and CMJ Festival New York. For more information on the services we provide please email amelia@putmeonit.com.
In 2010 PUT ME °N IT won the BBC Performing Arts Fund Bursary, to whom we are eternally grateful, and in early 2012 we merged with leading events promotion company Destination: Out.
