I guess I'm up first...

First let me say I'm not a writer...but I am about to invite some amazing writers to get on this thing & make it fly...I just realised I spend so much of my time talking about, searching for, and passing on music that I figured this might be the way to go.
So, on to the important stuff. I'm excited about...the countdown to The Roots 10th album Rising Down dropping on 29th April - I'm feeling the gogo inspired track with Wale, but I think I'm actually more excited about the new Al Green album coming in May produced by ?uestlove and James Poyser. On the Soulquarians thing Erykah Badu is performing at Brixton Academy in June which will be my first time...late bloomer I know.
To bless this page I'm posting a link to one of my favourite tunes of all time - as per usual my favourite DJ Alexander Nut (www.myspace.com/alexander_nut) put me on to it. I've been obsessed with this lot since seeing them at Mos Def & bumping in to them performing this tune busking on Oxford Street before Christmas (I ran towards them and played it to my sister down the phone). As far as I can make out it has only come out on 12" so apologies for the sound. Hypnotic Brass Ensemble's Sankofa
