Is the future of hip hop...in Nigeria?

The figures in this video (3 million album sales in the first month?!) may sound completely ridiculous but with an estimated population of 150 million people, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, and it is estimated that 20% of all the black people in the world live in Nigeria. That's quite a market. Nigeria is also one of the fastest growing economies in the world and is one of the "next 11" (one of the 11 countries with economies tipped to be the largest in the 21st Century) after Brazil, Russia, India and China. Who knows...maybe the answer is for hip hop artists from the US to move to Nigeria to escape the decline in record sales and cash?
